Tone Loc

Most people know this gravelly-voiced rapper Tone Loc from his musical debut with the 1989 chart-topping song, “Wild Thing” which he also co-wrote with fellow rapper Young M C. The instant success of the song plus Tone’s natuaral charisma made this Los Angeles native one of the fastest rising rap artists.

Tone’s popularity began to grow and catch the attention of Hollywood, which helped to start his acting career. His screen debut was in a feature film “Ford Fairlane” with comedian turned actor, Andrew Dice Clay. His other film credits also include parts in John Singleton’s “Poetic Justice”, Mario Van Peebles’ “Posse” “Ace Ventura Pet Detective” with Jim Carrey, “Heat” with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro.

Tone has been fortunate to play a variety of roles, not limiting himself to just film, he has also been in demand for guests spots on the hit Fox series “Roc”, “Newsradio”, “Touched By An Angel” and many more.

Tone remains busy with voice-over work, active touring and special appearances, along with occupying his free time with his children enjoying life in Los Angeles.
